Canberra Trip (21-4-2008)

21st April 2008...

Went to Canberra with friends in the early morning...
It was organised by the uni mishop...
All of us woke up around 6.00am...too early for us...
that day really seems like back to secondary school time..
have to wake up really early...

some of us didn't even sleep the whole night, including me...
some of us slept for few hours...
everyone didn't have enough sleep that day...

seriously, Canberra is really a boring place to go to...
there's nothing to do other than visiting those museums and parliament house...

everyone was sleeping in the bus the whole journey to Canberra..
our backs were really in pain...

the first stop was the Parliament house..
I can't remember the name of every stops...
last stop was the Cockington Green...

The last stop still ok...

There was no food provided.So, we had to bring our own food...
During lunchtime, we just had half an hour to buy our food and finished them up...

We left Canberra and headed back to Sydney around 4.30pm and reached the uni around 8.00pm...
Everyone was really super tired...
couldn't stand it and ended up slept super early that night...

that was the whole day of the day trip...

This is the day that RMC stopped providing meals during the christmas holiday...

they started the thing from 14th dec afternoon...

In this case, everyone has to cook on their own for themselves...

it's kinda troublesome la , but IT'S FUN and INTERESTING...

Even though everyone of us hates to cook but still have to cook...cuz it's too expensive if we go out for every single meals...

We have no choice ...

So, in the end, we decided to eat steamboat as dinner...

It was quite ok...

5th December...
My friend and her boyfriend invited me and my other two friends to go to Bondi to have dinner 2 days ago actually...
We were supposed to go on tuesday night but kitty wasn't feeling well... So, we didn't go for it... We planned to go on wednesday...

Vince booked the Hurricanes Grill which is one of the famous grill restaurant at Bondi on wednesday morning... we got a place for the dinner but it was at 6pm-7.30pm...it was EARLY!!!

One of our friends, H, thought that were going to bring him along cuz kitty asked him to check for the phone number of the restaurant on monday afternoon...

In the end, we decided to bring another friend, charles..cuz H always creates some problems for us to be angry easily...

My friend's boyfriend, Yul, drove us there..Traffic jam on the way to Bondi...In fact, We were late about 30 minutes for the dinner...

When reach the place, we just rushed to the restaurant..Luckily we still got our seats... We ordered the food quickly when one of the waiters gave us the menus.. We ordered half rack of pork ribs, BBQ chicken, and New York Strips...and caesar salads + day of the soups-- TOMATO SOUP... The food was good...except for the soup...it tastes like tomato sauce + water... But still, the price were still ok... not that expensive...

After dinner, we went to the beach... We hang around there for a while then we headed to the city...

We went to the Capitol Square to play some games... after a while, we went to have ice-cream at passion flower.... Everyone was kinda tired and no more money... So, we decided to go back to RMC...

Bad Day !!!

26th November 2007...

It was a bad day for most of us...
We received a very bad news after all of us have planned everything for the day...

One of our friends called in the middle of the night which is already 2.30am !!!!! Just to ask us to go to the uni to take the graduation photos together with her...
During the photo session, we still needed to wait for her brother to comeover to take photos together...
Everyone was very very tired that time...Because some of us slept very very late around 3-4am, some were packing cause they were heading back home, some didn't even went for bed, some even worse which was got to know about the photo session when they were sleeping (already around 11 ++am and the photo session was around 12.30pm-12.45pm)...

That day, four of our friends needed to rush a flight...They nearly miss the flight just because of her !!!
Lucky them got a special offer from the check-in coounter which was let them cut the queue to check in first..

After a while they left, she still dare to request my friend who is quite expert at computer things, so, thought of asking him to help her to fix her computer...but we've already had plans to go out...

She kept on calling his mobile phone that made him feel very very annoying...Part of the reasons was she thought it's a must that he needs to fix for her...
He asked her to use her brother's computer for the time being, but she refused to do so...she said that her brother is studying and she don't wanna disturb him...Then my friend asked her to ask herb rother to comeover to our residential college to pick him up to their house for a while from her place to our place is just 2-5 mins car drive...but she refused to ask her brother to come over...So, she asked my friend to take abus to her apartment on a very hot day...In this case, everyone started to scold her and say bad things about her...Cause SHE'S REALLY TOO MUCH until we don't really can tolerate her...

Starting from that time, she started hating her and just try to ignore her...

Charlie's Birthday

27th October 2007...

CHARLIE'S BIRTHDAY!!!

It was surprise from all of us...the friends from RMC a.k.a. RMCers...

Some of them planned together with her brother, Andy, to give her a very surprise...
Heard that they gave her a surprise last year as well...
but, this year, she has aready got a bf...
so, we didn't think that she will still thought of celebrating with RMCers...
lolx...

SHE WAS WRONG !!!

She went out with her bf, Sky, to the city to celebrate it...
So, she didn't expect that some of them actually planned with her bf and her brother...

When she reached home, all of us stood behind the door...
and sang the birthday song to her in english, cantonese, chinese...
lolx...

Due to some reasons, so, they decided to draw something on her face, her hands, and her legs...Her bf knew that these things gonna be happen (her bf used to be one of the RMCers as well)...He just let them drew on him and the thought that it would be happen to his gf a.k.a. the birthday girl...
In the end, still, she got drawn by them...

Me and my friend shared a present which is Lancome, some of them gave her perfume (Christian Dior, Burberry), some of them gave her a picture in a medium-sized photo frame which has the mixed pictures that we took together...
It was really nice...
All of us got shocked of it..

After a while, We walked back to RMC in the midnight...

The Valedictory Dinner

It was on the 9th November... Was the RMC Valedictory Dinner... It was held at the dining hall of the residential college... There were few outsiders that caused not enough seats for our own students even though there were still had some students didn't attend the dinner... In fact, the college is really full of 200 students ...and some of the officers still invited some 9outsiders to attend it... So, in the end, some of my Hong Kong girl friends who came late were forced to squeeze in 2 separated tables which only can fit for about 8-10 people...

During the dinner, one of my friends fell asleep n we spotted him...few of them left half way n went downstairs to the common area to play pool...Because it was really too bored !!!
The officers had invited a lady to give a talk about some finance thing..some leavers gave speeches and some were asked to give speech...

Some people said that the food we have in the college everyday which is RICE & CHICKEN !!!
hahaha...

Before the dinner ended, the masters gave out the plagues to those leavers and few of them were my friends, HENRY WOO, YUL CHAN, PAULINE CHAN...

At the end of the dinner, we took pictures before we left the dining hall...

25th September 2007...

It was Henry's Graduation...
I went late with my friend cause I has classes before that..
Actually I thought of going there a bit later but I changed my mind..
So, I went directly after my classes...
Just went there to greet him and took pictures with him...

We left the uni...
Most of them came back to the college to get changed...
Cause it was HOT and SUNNY yesterday!!!
Before got changed, we took group picture at the courtyard of the college...

After a while, we went for lunch...
We had around 16 people...

We went to buy those BBQ stuffs after lunch...
All stuffs costs us about few hundred bucks...
At first they planned to walk to Charlie's house...
but, because of the weather, they bought a blue travel ten to take a bus to her house...

Some of us came back to the college to get changed cause me and my friend didn't know about the BBQ thingy...
We walked to Charlie's house...
They were still preparing the food when we reached her house...
After a while, we went down to the BBQ spot...
There is a small basketball court and a tennis court...
The guys started to play basketball instead of helping the girls to BBQ the stuffs...
When guys stopped to play girls started to play as well...
Around 7pm, we went up back to her house...
It already dark there..
Henry left to the city...

The game time started..
Some of them played mahjong, some played sports AV games, some just resting and chit chatting at a side, few girls just started busy cooking in the kitchen again...

Around 9.30pm, they started those seriously in a big group...
Some games which I didn't ever know...
But still, the games were fun...

In the end, few of them were drunk but not as bad as last time...

It was a really fun day...

The Stupid Internet Connection...

The internet connection in the college is not working well...

At first, the office said that it was th uni's problems, but it wasn't...
After about two weeks, the office said that they had made mistake that it was actually the server problem...

Recently, people in the college couldn't go online al the time again (even though our internet is paid as per megabyte), but still...there are people on almost the whole day...

WE NEED BETTER INTERNET CONNECTION AND STOP USING THE LOUSY SERVER !!!

RMC Annual Ball 2007

It was 7th September...

RMC Annual Ball...

I went to the body shop to do my make up...

After the make up I really looked like a doll...

I rushed back to my college and had the hairdo myself...
I just bought the electrical curler and straighterner from the Myers...
So,i decided to do something to my hair...
because of lack of time, my hairdo was ok only...

Around 5.30pm, we needed to gather at the common room downstairs...
But we left the college to the Dockside, Darling Harbour around 6.30pm...

it was raining that day...

When we reached the dockside, we kept on take pictures with each other...
Everyone was properly dressed up...

The dinner was not bad...

We had party after the dinner and they had some presentations (slideshows) during the dinner...
We danced at the another room of the ball which is the dance floor...

We enjoyed the dancing session and the dinner...

After a while of the dancing session, I left with a group of friends to the KTV...

At first, they gave us a really small room and we just squeezed into the room...
Luckily the room can be fitted by 20 of us...
We were changed to the another bigger room...
We felt more comfortable after changing to the other room...
Some of them started to play games and singing...
People who lost in the game needed to drink a glass of "red-label" with green tea...

In the end, half of us were drunk...
We left the KTV around 2.30pm by 5 taxi-es

When we reached back me and my friend helped them to open the door cuz some of them were carrying some other friends...

That was the night of the ball night...

20th birthday

thx for the birthday celebrations!!!
on that day, 00:00 (world time), some of my college friends celebrated my 20th birthday for me...
my friend bought me 2 brthday cakes which are fruit cake and a mango cheese cake, I really like them...

at first some of them gathered outside of my friends room cause they knew that i was in my friend's room studying...
When my friend wanted to bring me to the common room downstairs, I was really shocked that they were outside the room...They were ready to celebrate for me...Some of them were waiting downstairs ...

During the celebration, some guys were keeping on watching on the big screen there...they were watching the football...

After a while the celebration was over and some guys stayed in the common room to play pool and table tennis...

During daytime, I went out with my classmates...to the city for my birthday celebration...
When we reached the city, we were waiting for Joshua...we walked around at the Queen zvictoria Building...After half an hour, we walked to the fish market by passing the darling harbour...so, we dropped by at the darling harbour to take pictures and had ice-cream...at gelatissimo...

It was very very crowded at the fish market...
after that, all of us took a bus back to the townhall to take a train to the bondi junction...we were also walking around there...around evening that time, we went to the bondi beach to have an evening view of the beachside...

About half an hour later, we took a bus again back to the city to have dinner....
We had the korean steamboat...We ordered the seafood one and the normal one...
I ate crab fater more than a year...
hehe....
Haf way of the dinner Liying and Joshua came and one of my other classmates, Kuan who are malaysian friends came to join us...

After dinner, we went to chinatown to buy some "emperor puff"...
they were nice...

my friend was waiting for me at the world square to go back together by bus...

WE MISSED THE BUS...
WE SAW THE BUS LEFT US BEHIND AT THE BUS STATION...

We waited for the next bus for another half an hour...

Seriously, that day was a fun day...
It was my first birthday at overseas...

So, thousand of THANKS to my friends who celebrated my birthday...

Christmas In Winter

It was christmas in winter on the last friday (17th August).

In the afternoon, I was helping my neighbours to make the ginger bread house in my residential tutor's room which is just opposite my new room.

The walls of the ginger bread houses needed to be holded to let them to be stick to another piece of bread...
We used the icing sugar to stick everything together..
We used some piece of colourful chocolate, green sticky candy, and smarties to decorate the ginger bread houses...
Actually the gingerbread bread houses were made for them to compete with other blocks' ginger bread houses other than eat them up.

The college had special dinner that night at the dining hall of the college.
The food was nice. they have some chicken salad and peas soup for entree, rice with salmon and turkey for main course, and pudding with mustard for dessert.

During the dinner, all of us were needed to stand up to sing the "Twelve days of RMC Christmas", "the Silent Night", and etc..
The "Twelve days of RMC Christmas" were composed by our chapelain and the lyrics was really funny.

Alex and Wendy were the judges for the ginger bread houses.
Some ginger bread houses were funky ones, nice ones, and well decoration ones.
In the end, some guys from B Block won the third prize, girls from A Block won the second prize, and the first prize went to the D Block girls.

Around 9.30pm, the dinner ended and most people who went for dinner enjoyed it.

Some party people went to "The Ranch" to have fun.

Malaysia Night at UNSW...

It was thursday night...

Heman invited me to the malaysian food which was held at the UNSW.
I went there with my friend...
It took us about one and a half hour to reach UNSW by bus.

I met liying, joshua, adrian, and liying's friends (mike and denise).
At first, me and my friend reached the UNSW and called heman cause he was in the library.

Actually we thought that we were late for the malaysia food. It was because when we reached the city, we both needed to walk to the other bus stop at Elizabeth street to get to UNSW. In between, we both still went to the Ripcurl to buy things.

No matter what we are still earlier than others.
When I called liying up that time, she was still in the city with her friends.
So, we walked around in UNSW for a while to wait for the rest to come.

After a while, joshua came and he thought three of us were already in the uni bar. But, we were not. So, he paid 3 dollars and got the entry stamp on his hand. Due to not enough food issue, the rest of us didn't pay for the malaysia food.

The funny thing, was after joshua got the food, heman wanted to taste a bit of it but joshua refused to give him and both of them were fighting for it.

So, ended up all of us had to go out to have dinner. But, joshua and liying decided to go to Kingsford to have Indonesian food. Unfortunately, me and my friend didn't manage to follow them to have dinner, we went to the city to have our dinner and went for shopping.

In the end, we went back around 11pm and reached our college around 12am because we went shopping and missed the bus to get back...

It was 9th August.

There was a beading lesson in my college.

They taught us to make our own earrings. I've made few pairs of earrings.
The person who taught us to make the beadings were Alex Paige (one of he officer) and Nicole (one of the Res Head).
They taught us 3 types of the earrings : tiger wire, double tears, and pin head.

So far, I've learned to make 2 types of them which is double tears and tiger wire...

It was fun and interesting.

In the end, seems like I have the most pairs of earrings ~~~

Room Changes in the College...

In the end still have to change to another room which I don't really it...

Cause it's very sunny and hot during daytime. Even now is winter time, I still have to on my fan to the medium speed.
Still, in winter, the temperature during the daytime was 21 degree celsius. Really hot. Some more, my new room will have sunlight come in through the window in the morning, that is when the sunlight will somehow wake me up from sleeping. Stupid sunlight and stupid college!!!

Plus, when I first came in to the room, it had a smell. So, I went to Woolworths to get the air freshner to make my room smell better.

Damn college~~~!!!

Finally I've done with the shifting and arranging the things.
Really tiring...

It's unfair...

Why guys always be be the first ones for the adults to think of , why not girls ?

Just because that there are more boys applied to stay in the college so the officers just gave and the officers just asked the girls to shift rooms? This is really unfair for girls. Plus, the officers cannot because that they want to earn more money so just asked the girls to change to other rooms, some more it's in the middle of the semester and it's the time that some students going to have exams.

Other than that, the officers said that the fees will increase for those future students if the girls insist to stay in their current rooms. In fact, the college does increase the fees every year.

So, what's the point asking the girls to change their rooms (actually the girls are forced to change their rooms)?

Stupid fire alarm

It was Tuesday night...

The stupid fire alarm rang!!!

It was already 1.15am which on the next morning...

By that time, quite a lot of people were sleeping...

Just because of the fire alarm, everyone woke up...

Everyone thought that need to evacuate from the buildings but in the end the announcement said " The fire alarm is being tested, no need to evacuate from the building."

Everyone was kinda speechless.

In the end, my neighbour didn't go back to own rooms to get back to sleep, we were discussing the stupid e-mail from the residential college officer that asked us to shift room problems which we thought is unreasonable during the middle of the semester.

Saturday afternoon...
Called Erin and Herman up to talk about the Sunday "surprise" which was for liying...
Talk about Herman side first...

It was at the Central station about two weeks before the meet up. Herman and Joshua just simply shouted at me in the public. At first, I thought i heard wrongly. Seriously, i was very surprise that they are in Sydney. I didn't know that they are here in Sydney. And, by the same weekend, i asked liying whether want to go for shopping on one of sundays. After that, we confirmed about the day already then i called herman and joshua up. I told them that I'll be meeting liying up so asked them whether want to give her some sort of surprise..then Herman was quite excited also..So, here our plans came...

Then, until the day before the outing, Herman asked me to call Erin up and ask her about the outing on sunday. She agreed to come out as well. So, four of us (me, Erin, Joshua, and Herman) were supposed to meet up earlier before we met up with liying. But me and Erin reached the city first then Joshua and Herman were late..In the end, three girls met up in front of queen victoria building first then the guys just catched us up. Actually, the most important, was my present!!! (Liying forgot to bring them~~~)(Never mind, even though it was disappointed.)

We went to chinatown to have our brunch or lunch. We were chatting about lifes while we were waiting for our number to be called. Anyways, the food was nice.

After that, we went to Darling Harbour and Circular Quay(the place where we can see the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge)

We went to The Rocks for the pancake. The food was nice as well. But too bad that time just left me, liying, Joshua and Herman. (Unfortunately, Erin didn';t manage to join us for that )

Around 8.30pm, it was time to go home. Liying spilt with three of us to get to the bus stop. Then I went to the World Square to get some stuffs.

I went to find my classmate after that as well because he's staying at the World Tower. And we went to the Chinatown to have supper. But, before we went for supper, me and Kuan were waiting for one of his friends to print some lecture notes and tutorial work from the uni website. It was very late already. Luckily I managed to catch the last bus to get back to my residential college. (Actually one of my friends was very worry about me and kept on calling me to ask me when am i coming back to the college. It was around 12am)(Sorry friend to keep you waiting, i didn't mean it to let you wait until so late!!!)

So, looking forward to the Taronga Zoo trip~~!!! It should be after 2 weeks time...

Hunter Valley...

It's nice place to go to buy wine, chocolate, and olive oil products.

Went with my cousin's gf (Pei Ling), Her fren (Soon), and Tomoe last saturday. Soon rent a car.
The wine taste great.

Too bad, Soon couldn't drink cause he needed to drive. Ling and Tomoe bought one bottle each.
Tomoe is good at drinking.
Bought 2 bottles of desert wine, 2 small bottles of wine, and olive oil.
Oh my god...Sound like a big buyer...

Hunter Valley is a plce which is worth to go for drinking.

After we dropped Tomoe back to the college (because she was tired), 3 of us went to the city to sing karaoke and had korean steamboat.

It was a great trip...

Winter in Sydney

It's about 15degree now...

plus, a lot of people went back home for semester holiday...left not many people in the college...
The college seems very quiet. The uni also looks very quiet and very few people.

It's end of financial year sales in australia...
Most of the branded stuffs are cheap...
Like Guess, FCUK, Nine West, Esprit, General Pants, Kookai, etc. .

just went for the korean comedy movie with my friends after so long time...

the movie was talking about a girl who is 200 pounds heavy...and likes to sing but because of her looking, so , she couldn't become famous...but she went for plastic surgery...then become a beauty....the movie is called 200 pounds beauty...
It was funny and nice...not bad...
Quite a lot of people went for the movie also...

28th May 2007 -- got stomache

30th May 2007 -- nearly kena admitted...

cause felt very cold but my body temperature was very high....a bit abnormal...high fever...that's y my friend nearly called ambulance...

but...

after few days, staying in bed after finishing classes which was last week of lectures and tuitorials...

one of the days didn't eat for more than 24 hours cause i couldn't take the food in the college...

luckily....

after few days....

i was alright...

My friend wanted me to accompany him to study then i stay here and act like part of a babysitter...
and he's so concentrating on his studies...

2 days ago...

It was my friend's birthday...
he didn't know that his hk friends told me about the surprise that they wanted to give him...
For him, he didn't expect it will happen as a surprise...he thought it was over and his friends won't come to disturb during his birthday but he was wrong...
I was the first to give him the present...even though i know it was just a birthday card, he was very happy...It was because he thought everyone forgot about his birthday already...
he's like a big brother for me...he treats me very good...he really care about me...but everyone misunderstand it...
haihz...
That's why my friends said that sometimes i'm too friendly...
they bought him a cake for him from some quite famous bakery...
and i was the naughty one who pulled his chair away from the door...
for sure, he was happy and was surprised by them...
Actually his HK friends planned to draw his body as part of the gifts but they respected him...cuz he's older than some of them...
so, they don't dare to draw him...

But, my friend was seriously "38"...kept on asking me and the birthday boy to take picture together...some more in the room...the picture that i showed in this blog...His HK friends kept on looking at both of us when we went out from the room a bit slow and went out together...we were speechless...

seriously that night was not bad...

holidays~~~

y r holidays so fast like time flies, no matter it's one week or two weeks...
no matter how long is the holiday also won't satisfy students...

haihz...no matter how also still in holiday mood...
wish that the holiday is endless...
but too bad...for students, we can't...

went to fish market with friends...blue mountain...circular quay...the rocks...darling harbour...
evening scene at darling harbour is nice...miss the scene and the holiday....
oh no...early morning was raining on the day we went to fish market...we were wet on that day...
blue mountain...they left and i went there to find them myself...in the train, i thought of lots of things...but hard to say it...haihz...but still it was a fun trip...

besides that, y some things so complicated???
seriously i really can't figure it out...
seriously there are lots of ??? in my brain...
i wish that i could solve them all...
